CyberConservatory is the producer of fun, interactive music for students, independent learners, teachers, and piano enthusiasts of all ages.

CyberConservatory publications provide the finest educational and recreational material in an interactive environment that is designed for 21st century music making.

George Litterst

George Litterst

George Litterst is a nationally known music educator, clinician, author, performer, and music software developer. A classically-trained pianist, he completed his undergraduate work in music at Vassar College and subsequently earned his Master’s Degree in piano performance at the New England Conservatory where he taught as a member of the Preparatory School faculty for 22 years.

In addition to performing on acoustic pianos, George is a MIDI musician. He works extensively with the high-tech Disklavier piano in his teaching, performing, and other professional activities, including music software development. He is co-author of the interactive music viewer, SuperScore Music, the intelligent accompaniment software app, Home Concert Xtreme, the electronic music blackboard program, Classroom Maestro, and the long distance teaching and performance program, Internet MIDI, from TimeWarp Technologies.

Author of more than 100 articles on the application of new technologies in music education, George is co-author of the Random Access column for American Music Teacher and former associate editor for Clavier Companion. He is currently the chair of the Music Technology Committee for the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy.

George lives with his wife, Helen, in Rehoboth, Massachusetts.

Paul Sheftel

Paul Sheftel

Paul Sheftel is a leader in keyboard studies who has performed, lectured, and conducted workshops extensively throughout the United States. His published materials—print and digital—are widely used throughout the country.

A pioneer in the creation of instructional materials using MIDI technology, Paul has created electronic accompaniments for an extensive collection of his original piano music as well as accompaniments to support the Music Pathways piano method by Olson, Bianchi, and Blickenstaff, and the Bastien Piano Method.

As part of the two-piano team of Rollino and Sheftel, Paul performed throughout Europe and the United States, both in recitals and with such orchestras as the Berlin Philharmonic, The Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Royal Philharmonic of London, and The Chicago Symphony among many others. He has appeared in two-piano and solo recitals in many of New York’s leading concert halls including Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall, and Hunter College. He has served on the faculties of the Mannes School of Music, Manhattan School of Music, The Juilliard School, Westminster Choir College of Rider University and Hunter College. He has been a piano editor for Carl Fischer.
