Just How Beautiful Can the D Minor Scale Be?
Karin would not dream of missing a piano lesson. She is a wonderful example of how music-making is a vital part of our lives. She started lessons late in life and continues to this day. Here she is performing “Scales” from Preludes, Interludes, and a Postlude by Paul Sheftel. This piece features an ostinato figure in the left hand over which a haunting melody emerges in the right, using only the notes of the D minor scale in its natural form.
